The Clarksville Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission (RPC) is proud to announce the launching of a new web based mapping application we are calling the Subdivision Explorer.
The RPC reviews and approves the subdivision of all property in Montgomery County and keeps data on each parcel. The existing data on subdivisions was reconstructed into a GIS database which allowed us to present information in a more comprehensive manner. The RPC wants to share this data with the community for use in real estate, development, research, or just curiosity. The webmap is a collection of maps and data to inform users about major subdivisions (10 lots or more). These maps display all existing subdivisions and details about them such as zoning, political districts, and school zones. There are also two maps on the status of approved preliminary and final subdivisions. Preliminary subdivisions are those that are approved but maybe have not been built yet or completed. Final subdivisions are those that have roads and utilities and are actively selling lots or building homes. Each of these maps can be viewed for specific areas of the county and details on the amount of lots available and remaining can be seen. Finally, a monthly updated chart for building permits by city and unincorporated county can also be seen to keep track of our tremendous growth. The Subdivision Explorer can be found on the RPC Website’s interactive maps page http://www.cmcrpc.com/InteractiveMaps.php If you or your organization have any questions about the Subdivision Explorer or to request an in-person demo for larger groups please contact the RPC during normal working hours at 931-645-7448.
